Mini haul! -- Marionnaud, L.A. Colors, 4U2

Hello guys! :D Sorry for being MIA.. Just had our shifting exams and boy that was S-T-R-E-S-S-F-U-L.. What better way to de-stress, for me that is, is to go shopping!

(L to R)
Marionnaud N32 Slanted blusher brush - Php 169.75
Marionnaud N37 Pointed eyeshadow brush - Php 89.75
Marionnaud N38 Slanted eyeline and eyebrows double side brush - Php 59.75
Bought at Watson's Robinson's Galleria.
Reason for buying: Since I cannot afford Sigma brushes, I decided to look for brushes that will still give me that same satisfaction whenever I look at it. Weird, yes I know. Hahaha!

L.A. Colors Vitamin E and Aloe vera Lipstick in 361 Pink Parfait - Php 101.15 (discounted)
Bought at Robinson's Galleria Department Store
Reason for buying: I wanted to try their lippies and see if it will not make my chapped lips even worse and if it will do great when applied on top of a lip balm (because some lippies fades off and makes my lips chap even more). I chose the shocking shade because I don't have that kind of shade. I wanna be bold. Haha!

L.A. Colors Auto lipliner in 565 Pinky - Php 84.15 (discounted)
Bought at Robinson's Galleria Department Store
Reason for buying: Honestly, it is because of Ms. Noe of colorismyweapon. She always use lipliners and I got curious. I mean why bother lining your lips and/or even filling them in with it? And I am about to find out! ;p

(L to R)
4U2 dreamGirl Lovelight BB Powder SPF 15 PA++ in No.1 - Php 194.00
4U2 dreamGirl Jelly Babies Lip Balm in Strawberry - Php 94.00
Bought at SM Megamall Department Store
Reason for buying: It is because of Ms. Say of saytiocoartillero! Hehehe!

So that's it! I am going to do some product-testing first then I'm going to post a review. :) Wait for it, ok? :D

2nd product!! did i LOVE it? a STRAIGHT-FORWARD review on Snoe's S Skin SPF 30 Stem Cell Sunblock cream

To know its product description, click here.

Place bought: Robinson’s Galleria
Price: Php 169.00

Sight: The container is plastic. The closest color I can describe the cream is a purplish-pink (if there is such a thing. Hehe!) It reminded me of what my dermatologist used to give me! The size is a plus because you can carry it anywhere. HOWEVER, when you open the container, it is kind of mapanlinlang when you are to consider the amount of product it houses. Because the inside diameter is smaller than the diameter of the container itself. A little disappointed on that part.

Smell: Does not have a pungent scent. It is…. Errr……sunblock-y??? Hahaha! :D

Touch: You will not feel any thickness of the consistency once spread. It glides on smoothly. :)

I use this every morning after cleansing and toning. This serves as my moisturizer and make-up base. FYI: Did you know that you can also use this as your night cream? good, eh? The first time I used this, I think I applied too much because after a while I started sweating. Like minutes after. I am not sure if it is an actual sweat because my room was not any way hot, humid, warm or whatever. So I just patted it off and went on to apply may make-up. It is really a good make-up base I tell you. My skin appeared clearer, even and ready for make-up! But again, the “sweating” did not stop.. boohoo.. The next day, I applied a minimal amount, so minimal that it was hard for me to spread it on my face. I was tugging here and there.. *uh-oh future wrinkles* but NO “sweating”! The next day I applied the right amount. The right amount needed to not tug while spreading. Again, NO “sweating”. So ladies and gents, don’t get too excited in applying the sunblock! Haha! :D

In my 1 week challenge, I was not able to tell if I got fairer because I’m already fair to begin with but I did notice a sudden “youthful” glow. I guess the plant stem cell is working. :D

One more thing, my sunblock became “stiff” and quite dry after a week and I’m about to “hit pan”! I don’t know why. I do not leave the container open.. But I still use it anyway. I don’t want to waste any product because it is so darn good!!

Highly recommended!

did i LOVE it? a STRAIGHT-FORWARD review on SNOE white vitamin C-rich calamansi whitening detox clay mask (*phew* that was lengthy)

Hey guys!! So this is the time of the week! :D
I just want to say, I SUPER LOVE SNOE PRODUCTS!!!!

First is the mask. If you want to know its product description, click here. And feel free to browse their site for more products. :)

Place bought: Robinson’s Galleria
Price: Php 249.00

Sight: The container has a tin can effect that gives it a retro vibe. It is also very sleek. The best part is you can take it anywhere! Very convenient when you are traveling. The mask is grayish in color with specks of black.

Smell: Does not have a pungent scent.

Touch: Quite cold and a little gritty.

I used this 3 times this week. I just super love it! The first time I used it, I just knew that it was working. That it’s making my pores smaller and tighter, lifting all the dirt and oil away, and making my face firmer. Just remember not to laugh nor dare to smile because it feels like your skin is breaking apart when the mask dries. Haha! When rinsing it feels slippery, giving you an impression that you are not washing away the product on your face but actually you really are, so it is moisturizing and non-drying kind of mask. After rinsing, I noticed that my face is fairer and with instant fresh glow. Makes me want to apply my facial regimen after because I know my face will absorb everything that I will put. This product is simply amazing! I super recommend it to gals with oily skin and to those who are exposed to pollution (ie. commuting everyday).

Do you also have this product? Tell me about your experience! :)

Part 2 Review: CheekRoom's BB cream and Lipstick

Ok! Part 2! The CheekRoom’s Lipstick. :)

To refresh your memory, this is the packaging. (Lipstick:right)

(This is about 2 or 3 swipes.)

My thoughts:

I got mine in shade 08. I can say that it is the non-matte counterpart of Ever bilena’s matte lipstick in Skin. Why did I purchase this? Because of Ms. Noe, the guru I love… :) Check her out at this site: colorismyweapon.blogspot.com. I wanted to buy the EB lippie in Skin, however my lips are always dry… :( I don’t know what’s wrong with my lips. Dang, I need to drink more water and stop licking my lips (Some say that our saliva makes our lips drier.) Matte lippies will not look good on me. Believe me, I tried it already. I bought EB’s matte lippie in Off beat Pink because of Ms. Noe again, (you are so influential, girl!) but wrong move… Haha! Even though I apply lip balm before the lippie, it didn’t change a thing. So I started using Lip scrub. Let’s see what happens in the future. :p If my lips will not crack up like crazy, then I might buy the EB lippie in Skin and have a review on both Off beat Pink and Skin and on the Lip scrub. :)

Ok, going back, (I talk too much, I know. Haha!) if you are looking for a beige, not-so-nude color, then I think this is the lipstick you want to have. BUT! Its staying power is kinda, well… not so staying. A good 2 or 3 swipes just to achieve the color. It feels like your lips just suck its color if you do it in 1 swipe. You really have to reapply it often. I should have listened to the woman-in-charge of their stall. She already said that their lipsticks don’t have the staying power and it is NOT that pigmented for a lipstick. They are just like tinted gloss or something. Lesson learned! I  mean I like it but not totally crazy about it. It did not live up to the "lipstick expectation".

The price - Php 299.00. A little pricey considering all the cons about the color, etc.

Will I recommend it? – Uhmm… If you need a long lasting lipstick or even just a pigmented one, this is definitely not for you. If you just want a hint of color, then maybe (just maybe) you want to try this. I suggest that you just buy a liptint or tinted gloss if you just want a hint of color. It will save you money. Though I like it, I personally would NOT re-purchase it.

Part 1 Review: CheekRoom's BB cream and Lipstick

Oh yes! My first blog is in purple! Haha! :D

Hello everyone! It took me a long time to actually have the guts to do a blog on everything cutesy and of course make-ups!

I would like to share with you my thoughts on CheekRoom's BB cream and Lipstick in shade 08. This will be a 2-part review: PART 1 - BB cream and PART 2 - Lipstick.

So let's get started!!!

This is the packaging of CheekRoom (BB cream:left; Lipstick:right) Made in Korea.

Soooo retro and I love it!!! And doesn't she remind you of Scarlett Johansson? I have to do some research on this...

PART 1: The BB cream.

To tell you the truth, this is just my second purchase of BB cream. The first BB cream I purchased was Maybelline's. That was like years ago and it was indeed a love-hate relationship for me. I will make a separate review on that. :p I hardly experiment on BB creams because some are pricey. Well, back to CheekRoom... So here is their packaging..

(I don't know if you can see that it's wrapped in plastic..)

(They only have 1 shade on this one)

(Unlike other BB creams, this one has a foil cap on the nozzle.)

SWATCH TIME!

(BEFORE: The back of my hand ---- hello lines and brown spots! O_o)

(Its consistency is not in the liquid side nor on the thick side. Just in the mid.)

(AFTER: Can you see the difference? :D No more lines and no more brownish spots!)

My thoughts:

1. The packaging - It is so girly as you can see. Retro vibe! The tube has this matte feel and is very well sealed. The only downside with the whole packaging is that there is NO english translation! :( Quite sad. You won't be able to appreciate or even have an idea about what's in it and its description. The only words I can "read" were Hydro-Cellulose, Alkyl Sylane Treated Pigment and lilium Candidim Flower Extract.

2. The product itself - I know you have heard the "golden rule" on BB creams... That a pea-size goes a long way.. This particular BB cream is an exemption to that rule! A pea-size won't do it! It will just cover a part of your face. So a pea-size on one cheek, another on the other cheek, another on the forehead.... I guess you know what I mean, right? :p It also dries quickly so apply it by portion, meaning, once you placed a pea-size on the cheek, blend away! But the great thing about this product is that it really gives you a very smooth "canvass"! Have you guys tried Watson's Collagen hand cream? That's the closest description I could compare it. Very smooth indeed. :)  And if your skin is oily (like mine), then you will definitely love this! It will not stop your oiliness 100% but you'll find yourself not reaching for your blotting paper as often as you did before, which is a great thing! It also has this flowery smell to it. It doesn't bother me so it's no biggie. :) It does not leave a white cast or make your face gray, it really blends well, feels like your second skin. I was quite amazed actually. :) OH, just be careful when removing the foil cap on the nozzle. It has this tendency to squirt some product.

3. The price - Php 299.00 for a 30mL tube. Not bad. :)

4. Will I recommend this? - Heck yah I will! :)

I bought this at Robinson's Galleria. They were like a month old when I bought the BB cream and Lipstick. I don't know if they have other stalls.

I hope you guys find this informative! :)
